Default Suggestions for back rest?
I have a 08 Ultra with a detachable tour pak. I was wondering if anyone knew if there’s a matching back rest that would line up with this mount. Wife won’t ride with me if I don't have the tour pak on. And I'm too lazy to keep putting it on. I know the bushings are 5/8' and the cross over measures about 10 3/4 on center. From front to back is 4 3/4'. I was told by Harley that this mount will not work with standard rest mounts. I guess if the rear cams work I could adjust the fronts to fit.

You have to purchase a forward docking kit from the dealer, not sure of the part#. Then you can get a Harley backrest that will mount using those cams and two of the cams for the detachable kit.

HERE's the docking kit matrix which will show you the required docking hardware needed for installing uprights, etc.

As the others said, you just need the other docking points. I had all of them installed on my 08 and regularly switch from backrest to tourpak or nothing.
