Default Damn, lost key and fob

Just had my Ultra Classic delivered to my home in Australia after my 5 week tour. And somewhere over here in the delivery, the key and fob which was zip-tied to the brake lever went missing. Now I have to replace security thingy.

Does that have to be married to the bike?

Sound like the delivery person have a problem. System will have to be set to the new FOB.

You'll have to take it to a dealer and they can program a new fob with the digital technician. I am going thru just what you described. 2 keys were $25.00 and 2 fobs were $78.00 + programming fee over here in the states. Dealer Service is doing the programming. Mine was my own stupid fault. It suxs but it will get better hopefully. Hang in there. Rick

no, you shouldn't have to replace anything. the people doing the delivery should replace your fob. in any case, you don't have to replace the entire tssm, you can just have the fob replaced. hopefully, you have the second fob still? it does have to be married to the ecm by the dealer, and when you do it, be sure to have your other fob with you.

Screw that fob crap. I'm glad my bike doesn't have security; it's a real PITA; more than it's worth.

When I bought the bike it only had 1 key,1 fob, and while I should have reset the pin code while the fob was at the bike. I didn't. We where on holiday and exploring a new country, and it never occured to me that they would be lost. I'm pretty pissed off with the transport people, but it means waiting for bits, and I live 3 hours from my Harley dealership.

Look at it this way atleast you wasn't on a trip in Northwest Montana and live in Illinois and lost it.LOL, had to go a day and a half disarming it to start it and have the sister in-law overnight it to Yellowstone where we were headed.

This happened to me yesterday. Between fueling, when I had to have the key to open the gas, and home 5 miles away, the key and fob must have fallen out of my pocket. I can't remember the PIN I reset and have lost the card where I wrote it. Dealer says he has to have the bike at the store to do anything and will probably have to install a new TSSM and get new fobs.
Isn't there a way they can "read" the reset PIN from the memory in the bike? If not, I'm guessing $500 P & labor before I'm done unless my amnesia clears up!
Does anyone know if they can read the PIN. At least it's in the garage and not in some parking lot.
Thanks!
