Traded in my 1999 rkc. Kept the v&h slips ons with the turned down tips. sounded awesome and not too harsh on the ears for the multi day trips. Put those on the new bike (2013 rkc)...noticeably quieter.
Thanks for the replies guys. I got my Kuryakyn Crusher True Duals on yesterday.... HUGE difference. It is noticeably louder - bordering on obnoxious !!! Which is just what I wanted. For you out there that have had slip-ons in the past and have migrated to a cat bike - you will notice a BIG difference getting rid of that cat and going to true duals as far as the loudness is concerned. I too have a SE Pro Tuner and am scheduled for a dyno tune because I now have some decal pop after the change, plus want to make sure I'm running as efficient as I can be after the change.
Very happy I made the change. If anyone is interested in buying my stock headpipe setup - just give me a PM and maybe we can work out a deal. I just hate to throw all these perfectly good parts away....
