So after coming back from sturgis on my deluxe, that im wanting a radio, speakers and all that other good stuff
After taking my buddys 08 street glide for a spin into spear fish and back i decided to sell my bike and get one.
i talked with a dealer and they ahve two im interested in
2010 used street, not sure whats on it
and a 2013 street that needs a new fender (being replaced by harley) and engine guard but the rest is in brand new condition. its only around 800kms on it
anything i should look into when buying a street glide?
as well anything thats pretty much required to buy when you get one?
If you do alot of 2 up and hwy miles, I would look into an ultra, you are gonna want the extra storage eventually and maybe have them add a detach kit for the tourpack, then you will have the looks of a SG, 2 bikes in 1, win win.
If you decide on an ElectraGlide, and don't care for lowers, extra lights and a CB system, save yourself over $1,000 and forget the Ultra and go for the ElectraGlide Classic.

You get another pair of speakers and electronic cruise which is really nice if you're touring. You're going to want those lowers eventually if you ride up north so buy the ultra.
I have the EGC but converted it halfway to Ultra with the cruise and the CB...still no lowers but i have soft lowers....If you are tall enough for the Ultra get it...Test ride on first and see...
To the OP, of the two SG's that you mentioned, out of the gate, the 2010 will have single exhaust and either a TC96 or TC103 motor, while the 2013 will have 2-1-2 exhaust and TC103 motor.
Regarding change, ride her as she sits. She'll let you know what needs changing...
