In the street where I lived as a kid there were loads of older lads that built bikes in there garages which is where I hung out as a young boy. The word on our street was to let them warm for a bit (unless they were late for work) then steady away until the motor had warmed through. Some of my bikes have forged pistons which need some heat to expand. The forged piston bikes plain don't feel free to rev until they are warmed through.

mine seems to be warmed up after 100 miles or so.

Same as most- a minute or so, then take it easy for the first few miles. I don't like to be pushed to hard when I first wake up, so I treat my vehicles the same way. Works for me.

LOL, I guess if you were driving before the age of electronic fuel injection you wouldn't have to ask.

yep, this is the way i do also, this is the way it should be done. i still have one of those choke things on my evo, but i still let my twinkie warm up the same way.

Like a few said before, fire up the engine put on the gear then leaving the driveway is my warm up routine.
