Road a 14 ultra awesome!! The integrated front and rear brakes work great. They fixed a lot of little problems. All the things I want to do to my to my 13 limited are done already on the 14. So easy to get into the bags.
I have a four month old 2013 SG that I bought on April 26. I went and looked at a few 14s today. I was really intrested in the new changes that had been made and have talked to the wife about a possible trade. I do like most of the changes especially the saddlebag lids but after looking at the new SG I just don't see enough there to make the trade. The touring pack is a big bummer for me, I would hate to trade in my bike that has a detach tour pack and then spen another $1000 on top of the new bike to get another touring pack. The SG only gets some of the changes. If I was concidering a ultra that gets all of the new updates it would be alittle more senseable.
It road better than the 13 the motor was smooth nice power shifted smooth. It didn't have that big clunk when u put in first.
I love my clunk!! I have way too much invested in my '11 Ultra to even consider trading.
Every time I trade, it's very time consuming (and costly) to get that bike where you want it. I don't see the '14 year models being any different. I'm at the point I just want to enjoy what I got and ride. Admittedly, I'll enjoy watching everyone else get their new rides and seeing where their imagination takes them. With all that said, I'd be suprised if they worked out all the kinks in the first year of release. Even if I were considering it, I'd wait at least for the '16 model year.
