I've been wanting to get a different windshield for my 2011 Ultra Limited but not quite sure what to get. I like the look of the dark smoke(almost black) but not sure what brand is the best or what height I should get. I'm about 5'8" and even when I'm in a complete upright position I can't quite see over the top of the stock windshield. I've looked at the Klock Werks windshields but don't know anyone who's tried one out. Any suggestions?
Im 5'8 and I believe I have the 10 inch Fast Aire I would highly recommend them if you want dark smoke they work really well and are reasonably priced.
For your consideration: H-D has a 10" Windsplitter in what they call "light smoke". I put one of them on my 2011 Electra Glide Classic. It worked well and looks better than stock (in my opinion). I'm 6'3'' and I did not get buffeting. Seems like there was more air around me, but it wasn't beating up my head. Anyway, I think the dealers have a demo program on seats and windshields. You could try it out without commitment.
I am 6 ft. tall and purchased a 9 inch Klock Werks for my 2013 Limited. I am very happy with it. I can easily see over the shield. You want to make sure you don't have to look through a Klock Werks because it will extort the image, also as you go darker, it is even more important. My local Harley dealer had some in stock and let me try them out before I purchased. Good luck!

The 10" wind splitter is the best shield I have used and looks better than all the rest...
Stock sheild is 12 inches I believe. I'm same height at you and I went with an LRS sheild 9 inch dark smoked. Seems perfect for me. Sightline is just over the top with a comfortable riding position. Sitting full upright allows me to see a little more over the top, probably a couple inches which is how I ride when dark out. Sheild is the dark tint which looks almost black on outside and can still see through just fine from inside.
I put on the HD 7" windshield and painted the inside flat black. I look over top of the windshield and ride in all types on conditions. I've never had an issue with it painted black and perfer it that way. Just my opinion but it works best for me. Photos are in my photo album on the HDForums site.
BTW, the photo in my avatar is before I painted that wind shield black. I'll try to find something more recent for my avatar
