Default Ape install

I plan on installing 10-12IN Paul Yaffe bars on my '13 Streetglide

I have a few questions before ordering the bars...

1. if I go with 12inch do I need to extend anything?
2. do I need to remove the tank? I have no ABS or security...
3. will 10-12 inch bars be to tall for me I am about 5'7 I put 14s on my ;12 streetbob and I felt they were to tall
4. How hard is it to reconnect/splice the wires after I re run them thru the bars?

http://www.baggernation.com/products-bars.htm
I plan on going with the OEM MONKEY BARS

Hey, first your going to need the Bagger Bars instead of the OEM ones which are for the Road Glide.

1. Your going to extend the internal wiring. Clutch and brake I would go +6. Your also going the need the Screamin Eagle TBW. Buy one online or go to your local dealer.
2. No
3. Those bars will be perfect and bad a$$.
4. Trickiest part is taking the plugs apart. You'll have to release the bottom of the plugs before the wires can come out. Make sure you stagger your extension cuts so they're not all in one spot. Lube the bars and push them through.

Check "Youtube" for LA Chopper bar install..... Good luck

I just watched the LA Choppers video and now I see why its so expensive to have a shop do it. I did not know you had to remove access and adjust the clutch from both sides. The TBW will save some time.

The clutch cable is the easiest part of that job.

Good luck. I was lucky to have someone on the job helping me that already done this. Don't forget the beer and the large box of patience.

10" you dont have to extend anything just reroute. you will have to get mirrors for 10" possibly not for 12". im 5'7" and my 10" wild1's are perfect. my arms are straight out in front of me and not above my shoulders. 12" would look better but the functionality of having your arms above your shoulders probably wouldnt be comfortable for long rides. route the clutch cable behind the frame instead of in front and then up like the brake cable. i put a plug in the clutch cable spot but im going to put a second cig lighter in that spot this winter. BE CAREFUL with the tbw connector!!! i hard wired mine.it doesnt handle the tension of pulling well at all. if you do get a clutch cable i read the Drag Specialties didnt hold up to the heat well and they all recommended going to the dealer for a +4 one. do some looking to see what everyone used for theirs. clutch cable is very stiff and hard to hide the extra

Dude, use the search function instead of asking us to do it all for you. Even if everyone wanted to spoon feed you, you can't possibly get as much information or insight as reading the threads that already exist. Plus you get the info a whole lot faster b/c it all already exists.
