My wife would like her clutch activation on her 14 King to be closer to the grip. Right now, the sweet spot is too far out. I am assuming to accomplish this, it is adjusting the screw out to 1 1/2 or 2 turns after contact? Or, is it just adding more free play to the cable?
I would try one full round out first before I tried 1 1/2 or 2. I have never seen anybody run 2 rounds out, but there is a first for everything I guess. You are on the right track though when changing the friction point.
Nope, it's a cable just like previous years. Now, she wants me to "bend" straighten out the clutch lever itself. The handle is too far out to be able to comfortable grip the lever.
Guess I need to start looking at clutch / brake levers that are less curved and more straight.

My experience with bent clutch levers is only from what my wife did to them. She dropped her Sportster several times and each time the lever would bend. It's funny that they seem to bend fine when she dropped the bike, but if you try to bend them back, they break right off. I even heated one up with a torch to see if that would let it bend back. No such luck, snapo. Looking for a different / straighter lever is he only way to go.,,
