On my 09 FLHX the Phase 7 sticks out about 1/2" or so but if you use an extended bezel it's nearly flush, maybe 1/8". Looks like it belongs there.

FYI, the Phase 7 is no slouch. It's signifcantly brighter than Halogen. When I road to Sturgis last year and I fell back from my group nearly as far as one could see each other, my buddies all said as long as they could see lights in their mirrors they could easily tell where I was even in other groups. They were all laughing at how bright my light was to them. The Phase 7 LED light just stands significantly out in a group of non LED's headlights.

I have pics of it with the HD frenched trim ring and without.

Also have some pics in the daytime from the front with low and hi beam so you can see the daytime visibility.

Default Phase 6 Kuryakyn/Truck-lite LED's

I'm new to this forum so I apologize if I'm changing the thread, but I just purchased a 2013 Heritage and would like to upgrade the OEM lighting. Several of my riding friends own Screaming Eagles and made the change several years ago to the first Truck-lite LED's, the phase 6 version. The newer phase 7's don't seem to be as bright, particularly in day light riding. I just learned Truck-lite discontinued the phase 6's about two years ago and now only have the phase 7's for sale. If anyone out there knows where I may obtain a set (1-7" head lamp and 2-4 1/2" driving lamps) of phase 6's please let me know. Thanks.

I run my phase 7 on high beam during the day and have custom dynamic ringz on the front so it is pretty visible during the day

Just purchased the Phase 7 headlight after my PIAA bulb blew after only 3 months! Got it for well under $200 online and I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing it in action. Also have the CD Dynamic Ryngs and I think this is going to be a winning combo! Already have the visor trim ring as well so hope it doesn't stick out too far.

With the lower amp pull of the LED lamps, should not be a problem.
Yeah, but the extra heat will probably shorten it's service life considerably.

My stock blub lasted 8 months and was hot, hot! So I got the 5" Daymaker. I would have gotten a Trucklite but they don't make a 5" version. As for the low beam staying on when the high is on, I never looked but I thought it went off. I'd look now but my bike isn't here.

I posted in this forum two years ago about my investigation go the LED vs. the stock Harley light, I noted 47% of fatal motorcycle crashes occur when women oner the age of 47 turning left in front of motorcycles.
The main factor was not being able to see the approaching motorcycle.
There are many other factors regarding causes, but for this thread it will be visibility
Truck Lite, HD, HID, anything but. Stock lighting, those grandma's need to see us as much as possible, we can't depend on them, so we have to step up to the plate and be more visible.
There isn't any data on the use of incandescent lighting on motorcycles vs. LED or HID lighting, but one who used both, there is a reason the MOCO went with LEDS, as standard equipment. in my humble opinion it's visibility, the better chance of riding tomorrow.

I called JWSpeaker and that's the way the light is design. The switch is internal to the light, meaning when the high has power, they are using an internal relay to turn off the low. Other than taking the light apart, it is what it is......

A diode placed on the high beam wire to the low beam wire would switch on the low beam with the high beam.
