I am 5'10 and have a driver backrest. To get real comfortable my arms have to really stretch out to a point where I can take full advantage of the backrest. I would like the bars back maybe and inch or two and have the grips more straight than angled in. Anyone else solved this problem? with different bars. How hard is it to put on different bars?
I had same problem, I went with the Harley bars and am very happy with the results. Quite a bit of work on Electra Glide. Must change clutch and both throttle cables and front brake lines.
I put these on my bike, they are ergonomically better, your hands are not turned in (as you described), they are wider, and you can rotate them WAY back. You do not need to swap out your cables for longer ones, though you do need to reroute the clutch cable inside the battery bracket inside the fairing.
Do a search on Wild1 or W0575 in this forum, you'll find a thread (several). I took pics of both bars together, and have a lot of information posted.
