Hey guys and gals. if any of you guys are using heritage bars on your road kings, could you post a pic of them here, I am wanting to see how they look. I've done a few searches but I would like to see what you guys that have them think about them as well
Here's mine..these are Heritage bars and not the "Heritage Style Bars". If you do a search you'll find a couple threads that compare the two and you'll be able to see the difference. I believe the Moco seen the light on this also and started putting these on the 14's.
For those who posted pics - does the bar change require wiring/ cable extensions or does the stock have enough tucked away? Thanks! As with the OP - appreciate the visual
I went with the Road King high bars on my 08' RKC and I love'um. I'm 5'11" and have a fused disc in my neck and they work great for me. I looked at the heritage bars but didn't like the lean back look/wrist angle, and after laying both pairs on my bike went with the RK high bars. Can't remember the p/n but PM me if your interested. No extensions needed.
I put the Heritage bars on my '09 and love 'em as well. I have pics, but the ones already posted show the differences. (My sig is stock.)
I am 6'6" with a 36" wingspan, so my fitment is kinda unique. I can move around quite a bit (front to back lean, I mean) with these and have never had any back or shoulder cramps or pain. I have mine rotated back slightly out of line with the forks which helps too.
My dealer mocked them up on my bike for me, let me sit on the bike for adjustment in the shop and then completed the install. Less than $200 including replacement grips.
I tried them.. I hated them. Worst bars I ever tried. If you raise them past 45 degrees the ends of the grips put your wrists/angle in a horrible position. Higher than 45 degrees the ends of the grips start pointing upwards way too much. You can see this in pics of Road Kings where the owner has the bars up high. You may like them if you plan on keeping the bars pulled down close to you, and they look dorky, IMHO.
