Does anyone have an opinion on his bars? I've never heard of him before and I just bought a 2014 street glide and I think Carlini's apes will be too high. I don't want them higher than the fairing.
Yaffe's bars and most other bars won't fit on the 14's. They are to thick and won't fit in the groove of the inner fairing. Harley's mini apes will fit but they aren't that stylish in my opinion. With that being said I contacted KST customs who makes bars similar to Yaffe's mini apes and got them to get measurements to fit the new fairing. They cut some and had them test fitted today. I will call them tomorrow and make sure everything went will and order some.

Not true. There are three folks around here, one being one of my club brothers that have a 14 that have already changed out bars two of them being Yaffe Monkey bars and one Arlen Ness bars.
I ran 12s on my SG for several years. Started out wanting 10s for the same reason as you. Didn't want my hands over the fairing. Wound up going with 12s (my buddies all said go taller or be sorry) and I loved them. I did wish later that I had gone 14s. I also ran a low C&C seat.

I'd like to see pictures of this. I was at the dealership when they tried to install some Yaffe 1 1/4 bars and they hit around the groove where the speaker housing is located. Unless the bars are 1 inch then they really won't fit right

I've got the 10" Monkeybars on my 120R. They are a perfect height. Running the internal wiring you need to have patience. Check YouTube and you'll find a lot of tips on how to make it as easy as possible.
Dealing with the Yaffe shop direct wasn't a good experience for me. Part of the issue might be they have a product a lot of people want (Monkeybars) and they fly off the shelves before the chrome/powdercoating has a chance to cool off. Or they aren't making enough. Or are serving the big customers first like Drag Specialties, Custom Chrome, JP Cycle, Dennis Kirk, etc. Probably a combination of all those factors. They are late returning calls, or they just don't, and if you order direct from them you'll have a lot longer wait than expected.
Find a vendor that has what you want in stock on the shelf rather than waiting.
Having said all that, the bars are high quality and IMHO by far the best looking bars around.
