I'm debating 10 or 12 inch Yaffe's, I've had my seat done at Meancitycycles so I sit an inch lower than stock. Will my hands be above my shoulders with the 12's as I'm only 5'8" with a 31" inseam?

The 10" should be fine for you seeing as though you had the seat redone and it dropped you down a inch.
I have 14 inch monkey bars on my RK and am in love with them. I'm 6 ft with a 31 inch inseem, plus I'm running a Mustang Wide Tripper seat that lowers me at least an inch, and my hands land just below my shoulders going down the road. These are the most comfortable bars I've owned. My 2014 SGS will be here next week, and I'm having 12" MBs put on it before I even pick it up. I loved the 14 inchers, but I thought I'd mix it up a bit and try the 12". Here's a pic of my 2001 RK with 14" black Monkey Bars on it (bike is currently for sale):
I have the 12" Yaffe apes on my RGC. They are awesome. A pain to install for sure but certainly worth it in the end.
There are lots of good looking apes out there but for certain Yaffe hit the mark with the look as well as the comfort. The comfort is a big deal if you put any kind of miles on your bike.
Carlini's are nice bars too. I've seen some bikes that look really good with Carlini apes.
Bagger Nation just called me 4 minutes ago and told me on the phone that the Monkey Apes will fit on my 2014 SG. He also said that with the 10" or 12" I Do not need new wires or cables. The stock wires will work. If I went with the 14's i'd need new.
doesn't mean it's going to be easy...prepare for a fight.
Old thread but maybe new inputs with people who have recent change of stock bars on their 2014. First the 10" classic Yaffe bars work on 2014 with stock cables and hoses? I think that is all the height I want. Can anyone tell me about how much higher than stock bars on Unlimited? ANY pictures out there on 2014?
