OLD is a state of mind. I am 72 (73 in 2 months) and here are my toys. Just traded my Cadillac CTS Performance model for the 375 hp Challenger, 6 Speed Standard.
That's awesome. Hope to have, and be able to use, things like that when I hit your age.
Nice vehicles, and congrats on the new bike. A 400HP CTS is far from an old man's car.
I'm in my late 50's. I ride a Street Glide and a BMW sport tourer. I have a few other toys, too. Associating what one owns or does with age is a state of mind. All that really matters is that you're enjoying life.
I'm hitting 50 in a months time and I still do the occasional track day on the crotch rockets.Speeds well in excess of 200kmh doesn't scare me still and the SG I have now is almost always taken to the limit(which isn't much, really).I workout 4 times a week weighing 72kgs,5' 10" tall and the girls tell me I'm nice and buff..old?
@LeeH...how old are you? To me, it just looks like you have a lot of money to spend on cars and bikes.
I'm 64 and you can see what I ride in my signature. Personally, I wouldn't mind having a Street Glide but only because of the way the look. I've never ridden one. I'd also like to have a Breakout too. But, I'm on my last bike.
"The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys"
We have been blessed beyond what we deserve...and I try to enjoy those blessings and never forget where they all came from! Like someone said, I feel like I am just hitting my prime!
On my 50th birthday, I made the comment that maybe I should trade my wife in for two 20 year old sweethearts. I was informed that I was not "wired" for 2 20's...
I have a poster in my office showing a casket being carried out of a beautiful country estate surrounded by two Harleys, a nice Mercedes 500cls, couple of high end German and Italian sports cars, a Learjet 21, a Bell Jet Ranger Helicopter, and a beautiful young widow dressed in black walking behind...the caption is:
"He who dies with the most toys, wins"
I hope I leave more of a legacy than that....
