Someone bumped this thread, so I got a notification. Figure it's a good time for an update. I know have over 7,000 miles on her with still no leaks, pukes, etc. Loving the bike!!!!

Local dealership has a 14 FLHTKSE for sale.
Heard about many issues with the model, but I love it.

PLEASE... can you provide a long term update?
Trying to decide on the 14 SE and the 17 base...

Much thanks!

I still have the bike and no issues other than my right front speaker stopped working. I now have 18,000 miles on her with no more leaking, puking, etc. I am thinking about selling her, however, but not because of any issues. I'm just kinda wanting something different after 3 1/2 years.

Very much appreciate you writing back! I am glad to hear it was resolved.
PM me with a price, if you are seriously considering selling...

Hi there....New to the forum and it all started here because of this thread....Was googling any issues with my bike and came across this thread.....so politely registered on your forum.....like the idea of being part of a Harley cyber family.....Anyway I have the exact same bike...same colour everything....
and as I'm not selling mine yet....think it may be a good idea to keep this thread alive for anyone else buying this bike in the future.
Hope you don't mind Boltsfaninmo.....for the highjack or continuation of this post
I Live in South Africa and it can get pretty hot here
My bike has also been with a few issues so here goes my list to add to the thread
Firstly let me say i also love my bike and currently have 46000km or 28750 miles on the clock.....have had it from brand new
Rode it off the dealer floor and within a week had her booked in for the first service
I noticed that she wouldn't idle and kept cutting out at stop streets on the way to the dealer
Problem 1
Dealer took three weeks with the bike to sort out the cutting out problem and in the end HD HO told them to fit a race tuner free of charge and the problem was solved
I got more acceleration too and my fuel economy went up but lucky i didn't buy this bike for consumption
Problem 2
Same Clutch caliper recall as discussed earlier in the thread ......was painless and the dealer sorted it out no issues
Problem 3
Right rear shock leaked on my garage floor......dealer had to replace it twice.....but all under warranty ......so far no issues....but ive never been fan of these harley air rear shocks .....if it plays up in the future i will consider after market
Problem 4
Infotainment no sound on random start ups was an ongoing issue ..... after the last warranty fix seems fine now
Problem 5
this was with me from after the idling issue was sorted...........the bike seems to ****** in low speeds a jerking motion......most guys who rode chain driven bikes would liken it to the motion as if the chain tension is not correct......it frustrated the hell out of me and i had it in at three different dealers and the master mechanics tell me the ride is normal.......beautiful ride on open roads but in town at slow speeds the jerking/****** worked on my nerves big time........
then i met a guy called noddy who race tunes and comes with a pedigree in our biking world of note and after he dyna tuned her she no longer has that surging feel
on the chart you could see clearly she was dipping at lower revs and he set the mapping to a consistent arch......don't ask me how but he had all the stuff needed and he also does lots of work for one of the dealers up countries customers.....any way the surge action is hardly noticeable and my bike felt like new after Noddy got hold of it
As my bike is now out of warranty...I decided to do the lube service myself only this time using Liquid Moly Oil Products and i must say my bike feels like a different bike now...smooth and just a pleasure to ride
Oh by the way.... never had any heating issues in all the time

had here and it gets very very hot where we live

Hello, and sorry, but I'm not being notified when someone bumps the thread. Beautiful bike you have there.

Mine has been rock solid after the initial issues. I just passed 19,000 miles and did the 20,000 mile service and new battery just in case. I have decided to sell my bike, just to free up some capital for a new toy. Until it sells, I'll be enjoying the ride.

2014 FLHTKSE CVO
33000 on mine and I love it the same as the day I bought it with 3 miles on it. Water pump is the ONLY issue I've had with it.
It's made several west coast trips in anything from 18 degree weather to 115 degree with two up and luggage loaded.
It make multiple weekly rides and anywhere else I'd want to take it.
