Okay, so I picked up my bike tonight and all looks good thus far. First of all, dealer did detail the bike better than I anticipated they would have, so mad props for that. Pretty much all the major scratches I'd seen last time were gone. I did see some marks on the bottom of back fender that I'd pretty certain I'll be able to buff out. Filler neck was replaced and honestly I can't tell what exactly they did for that. Guess I don't know exactly what the filler neck is. Replaced the thermostat. Replaced the tour pak lid that had defective paint. Replaced the left front speaker that was playing at a lower volume than the other 3 speaks. They programmed the running lights to stay on with high beams. Thing I am most happy about is the front left speaker sounding better. Finally the front soundstage is correct, and I don't have to hear everything coming from the front right.
Man, was it nice to ride the bike home even though I was freakin' cold as hell. I'll keep everyone updated on how things go from here out. I was very happy with my dealer after a rocky start, but they stepped up this week and took good care of me. Man I love this bike.

Glad to hear things have moved forward. Your patience will be rewarded. I bought a new wethead a month ago knowing about the issues. Mine doesn't have any now, but if any show up I am sure things will be made right. Good for you, enjoy that beautiful bike.

I've put over 300 miles on since the filler neck and thermo replacement and no leaks. FYI, Saturday it was above 80 degs., so my EITMS kicked in at stops. Also, when I got home my fans kicked on for about 30 seconds when I shut the bike down. I was curious if the latest firmware update would mess with the fans, etc.but I guess not.

Man, I really want one of these bikes but hate to give up the power I love from the 120R in my current ride.

One of the biggest things that attracts me to the CVO is the electronic locks on the bags, tour pack etc. I hate the hassle of manually locking and unlocking all of the bags separately. Can you tell me about this system? Do you like how it works etc.?

I'm even considering a 2014 Street Glide special and pulling my 120R from my bike to swap in, then seeing if I can retro fit the electric lock system in the 2014 Street Glide.

Believe it or not, I actually looked into adding all of the 2014 upgrades to my bike and stopped counting when the number exceeded about 12 grand. The new radio head unit alone is $1,800 from the MoCo! One of the big factors that will really be a non starter is the linked brakes. The systems themselves are the same as earlier models but the proportioning is all managed in the ECM.

I think, if I decide to pull the trigger on the CVO Limited, my plan would be to convert the tour pack to quick detachable, (along with quick disconnects to all wiring), Put SG shocks and fork kit on to lower it, Add a solo saddle and make myself a CVO Limited/Street Glide convertible. Then a trip to Fuel Moto for their 117" kit. They say they are putting up some big HP numbers in wet head builds.

The way the new bags open and close is AWESOME. The power lock/unlock is even more AWESOME! Works like a car FOB. Press lock button and they lock. Press unlock and they unlock.

Day 1 10/4/13. 1380 miles on bike:

Yesterday when I got home from work, I parked my bike. I opened the right side lower to check the coolant level (I've been doing this frequently). I was surprised to see it maxed out to the top. Suddenly my foot slipped in a puddle of coolant now flowing freely out of the overflow tube onto the garage floor. I took some pics, called my H-D Dealer, and the coolant level in the bottle then subsided. My Dealer offered to come pick up the bike, but Monday was the first time we could get together, so I asked can't I just ride it in to you now since there is still coolant in the bottle and it's only about 8 miles to the shop? Dealer said yes, bring it in.
I pulled into the dealer's service bay, turned off the bike, and just like at home it overflowed while me and 3 service guys watched the bottle slowly fill and begin to dump out all over the dealer's floor. Dealer stated they also had a 2014 Ltd with 49 miles on it doing the same thing.
Dealer said Harley told them to try to purge the system by running the bike with the coolant cap off for 5 minutes. It took 3 guys 5 to 10 minutes to finally get the cap off. They started the bike and after 2.5 minutes coolant literally exploded out of the cap opening. Tech shut off the bike and began to wipe coolant off of himself and the bike as it got everywhere. At that point I'm feeling very sick to my stomach seeing coolant all over my new bike hoping it cleans up and doesn't cause any permanent staining or damage.
Tech wheeled my bike through the puddle of coolant and into the back of the shop.
I also mentioned the infotainment issues I'd been having since the day got the bike, so they are documented with the dealer. They already have an order for a new tour pack lid for me due to bad paint. I got a copy of my paperwork and left the dealer feeling very uneasy and less then hopeful.

I would like to mention that you NEVER open a coolant system when it is hot. Every coolant system in the world will push coolant out of the over flow because the coolant is hot and under pressure. Hot fluid expands. Why are you checking your coolant anyway? Is/was the bike doing something wrong?

Do you ever check your oil? Why, is your car doing something wrong? Get my drift...and if you spent some time researching (this being your first post) you'd see coolant leaks have been a problem on some of the earlier bikes, some of us like to avoid an issue BEFORE it becomes a problem.
