Re the thermostats, Everybody's isn't leaking. I've had the good luck to have a non leaker from the start. My buddy went through four and now finally has a non leaker, so maybe they have a handle on that now. They seem to leak when cold. Don't know what the ambient temps are in your area right now.

Did the bike actually have scratches or just dirty? If you've got scratches in the clear coat, you've got new problems now.

I've got to get mine in for the filler neck now that winter seems to be coming to an end here in NJ. it's been raining since the temp went up a week ago. I got the bike out two days last week.
It had very fine scratches. The kind I know I could buff out with probably a mild polish even by hand and definitely with a random orbital. It just pisses me off because to put these type of scratches on the bike is not exactly easy. It just proves my thinking of not wanting to leave my bike there for even one day isn't wrong. Nobody will take care of my bike like I will. They just don't care.

Depending on how soft the clear is, putting fine scratches into it could be as simple as rubbing a slightly dirty rag over it.

Just got done reading this thing, is their any type of lemon law that you could pursue? This definitely seems like one to me.

Good luck.

Exactly. No one cares about are bikes like the owner does. Same with car dealers. Doesn't anyone give a **** anymore?

we had a 2014 CVO Ultra come into the service area at Daytona Bike Week,,,,,,,,,

the stock audio system performance is WAY LESS than I expected to hear from the new CVO ,,,,,,

We made a plug-n-play ROKKER XTP amp kit for it, installed it and wow, it woke the whole system right up ,,,,,,

customer will be installing the new J&M ROKKER XX 6.65 & 5X7" speakers next ,,,, he was really jazzed when we gave him his bike back ,,,,,,

,,,,,

I don't know the exact specific lemon laws in MO, but pretty sure my situation wouldn't qualify. I really think at the end of the day this will all be fixed. I may have to use a different dealer if this one doesn't get their **** together, but it will get done and fixed.

Man so sorry to hear about your issues with your bike. I'm beginning to think there aren't any good dealers left. They came to pick mine up for the neck recall and change the leaking themo and dyno tune it. I went and picked it up, they brought it outside and first thing I noticed the themo was leaking. I went back in and asked the dealer about it and he said they didn't replace it because the guy who picked it up didn't write it on the ticket. So my next question was that y'all did a dyno for 4 hours and never noticed the themo leaking?? Really??? He did rush it back in service and replace it after closing time but still I couldn't believe no one noticed it before. This one isn't leaking so I can't help but think they got the issues fixed now. So hopefully all this will be past you and everything will be fine. That is one beautiful bike and I'm sure you will enjoy it this spring. After hearing your story, Just another reason to learn to service mine at home as I don't trust the dealer much anymore.

Well, I just feel the need to vent. UGH! So, I dropped off my bike at dealer two weeks ago. to fix the above 5 things. I've been pretty patient only called them twice to check status. 3 days ago I called and was told all parts were in, 3 bikes ahead of mine, and He's handing the parts to the mechanic. My hope was I'd pick my bike up Friday night, but they never called. So, this afternoon I went to the dealer to talk face to face.

Dealer explained that the only thing we were waiting on was the Velcro that holds the tourpak liner in the lid. Guy started apologizing, blaming, and pointing at a guy in the shop saying "It's that guys fault and he was fired yesterday, blah, blah, blah." I told him I don't freakin' care who's fault it is. It's not my problem you had to fire that guy. I just want my bike. I asked him if all the other work was done, and he said the fired guy new what was going on with my bike, and he didn't. At this point, I'm pissed and tell him to find me someone who DOES know what's going on with my bike. He goes to find the mechanic....

Longer story short, I go back to back to see my bike. First I notice there are smudges and scratches on the faring and saddlebag lids, I let the guy know I spent 3 hours detailing the **** out of my bike before I dropped it off, and now it's got scratches all over. I let him know I'm not happy at all with that. Then the mechanic goes through what he did. 1. Replaced the tour pak lid minus the missing trim and Velcro. 2. Performed the coolant bottle neck program. 3. Replaced the left front speaker. 4. Says he couldn't find a leak in the thermostat, so didn't do anything. 5. I forgot to ask about the flashing the bike so spots stay on with high beam.

I originally was going to take my bike because I was so pissed, but I decided to leave it with them until the Velcro comes in. Guy apologized for the service and said he'd have the bike detailed before I pick it up. UGH! We'll see what the outcome is, but I'm pretty sure the thermostat will leak since they didn't do anything regarding that. God, I hate leaving my bike at the dealer.

Thanks for letting me vent.
Welcome to the wonderful world of HD service. Sorry.
