I was thinking the same thing. Poor guy is venting about his issues with his brand new pride and joy... So let's sell him something..Really, sorry but I have to call bad timing on that one.
You do know there is a recall on this problem. Don't you?
Recall for what problem? Only recall I have received is on the clutch which was performed last year. I am aware of the program to replace the filler neck, but not aware of any other programs or recalls. They need to have a program on the Thermostats.
Head of service just called me. He did acknowledge that he heard I was not happy. He again blamed a guy they fired. Oh well, pass the buck. He said he was going to have MoCo overnight a new thermostat for me. I asked why since the mechanic told me they weren't going to do anything becuase if wasn't leaking? He said he was aware of the leaks and will order one. Plus my salesman went and talked to him apparently. So, we'll see if he gets it tomorrow and maybe finishes up my bike.
Dealer called today to say all parts are in. Said I'd be first on the list for the mechanic tomorrow morning, and they'd call after the bike is ready. I thanked him for calling and updating me. Did I hope my bike would be ready today? Yes, but really I just want to know what is going on, so it was nice to receive an update call. Hopefully all is good for tomorrow.

Had mine in about a month ago for the thermo housing, same scenario as you, they called the Mothership and was told Harley would overnight them a new one. Service Dept. said they were told not to use any in stock but wait for the new one. I've been out several times since (including 100 miles today), so far no leaks, all dry! Good Luck with yours...

Thanks, I hope they have this all figured out. It would be nice to enjoy my bike without constantly checking coolant levels, for leaks, and carrying a bottle of coolant and a funnel in my saddlebag.
Well, good news. Dealer called again today like he said he would. Told me the bike would be ready later today and then he'd have the scratched buffed out. Said he would call after if was ready, and he kept his promise and called to say it was ready. I let him know how happy I was with the way he had been treating me since we spoke Saturday when I voiced my displeasure. I really gave him credit for stepping up and treating me so well.
I didn't pick up my bike, however, because it stormed pretty good today. Supposed to be worse tomorrow, so probably pick up the bike on Friday.
