Default stumped

i have a 2009 flhtcu. was riding home from panama city in the pouring rain. the bike ran fine. was riding with a group and pulled into a gas station to make sure everyone was fine and see if the rain would let up. anyways, once done and ready to ride out, i turned on my ignition switch and my speedo and tach made a full sweep of the gauges, all the lights in the speedo lit up and my odometer went to my current mileage (i had it set on trip). the bike cranked and ran fine, no check engine light or anything. i had been riding in the rain for quite sometime. is there something the water can get into to cause this? we rode for another 45 minutes or so and again, the rain came down much harder so pulled off the road again. this time i cycled the ignition switch a couple times and the odometer was able to change from miles to trip meters. by the way, on this second stop, the red key illuminated though i dont have the security system. no driveability issues and no check engine light. im stumped on what this was or could be. i believe it had something to do with the rain as i havent had any issues with the bike until this happened. my wife was on her sporty, a road king and another ultra with us and no other bike appeared to have issues. sorry for long post, just wondered if anyone has experienced this and what the causes were or know what i need to check. i got home and looked thru my service manual and couldnt find anything to address anything like this.
thanks for any help in this

Something got wet. When I had my '09 Heritage, I was riding in a downpour in Louisiana and noticed my security (red key) light come on. The bike didn't have a security system installed, after a while of riding without rain it went out. I wouldn't worry about it.

I had a damn near same situation happen on a 07 SG I owned a few years back. Turned out the male/female plug for the gauge wiring harness had some corrosion. It was still under warranty so the dealer fixed it. Good luck.
