Default oil smell
im gettin old and decrepid but cant figure this one out. i keep smelling oil, yet ive poured over the bike and see no leaks -pulled the AC and see no blow by. am i just imagining this or do others exp this. have an 07 EGC

Nope, your not alone. Just last nite i took the exhast off, the AC off, got a mirror to see into the tiny places and behind things, and put it all back together and i still smell it. The heck with it, im gonna go ride.......

same with mine...and I just had heads off and changed seals,went away for a 1000mi and now its back...

I thought the same thing, but determined it's coming from the cages.

I had the same concern. When I changed the trans. oil to Amsoil 75-90, I started smelling a gear oil smell instead. I suspect it's the transmission ventingthrough the vent hose. (????).
