You have to just ignore the a$$hole comments. Luckily those are a minority.
They did discontinue the RKC, at least in 14, so while you can try to take a 14 rk and make it look like a rkc it will be expensive.
Rims, tires, bags ( rk have 17 front and no www for those ). So your looking at least 3k to do that.
So if you want new probably not too much time left before they are gone.
If you decide not to go for it now there will always be someone selling a 13 later.
Actually I have 17" WWW in my sig pic..... And have seen new 2014 RKs with spoke wheels and WWW - I guess that is av option....
So, you could get a GREAT set of leather bags for $600ish, and if the dealer gave you an option of spokes and WWW, you could have a classic '14 for only the price of bags..... Otherwise, you're right - probably 3 grand.
I didn't realize they were putting out any CVO bikes this year, but saw a 2014 CVO Road King yesterday in Dark green with black accents. All that bike for $29 and change, didn't figure that was too bad. What a gorgeous ride. ****, I have 27 into my classic just from add ons through 16 months of ownership. If only the King had a bat wing fairing that would be tempting. I didn't even bother asking what kind of a trade deal would work, I knew better........
Harley sells "Classic" motorcycles. You can bet your sweet butt they will be bringing that bike back. They do this ALL the time.
They do it to raise interest in a model that isn't selling as well as the others. 2 years later its back with new trim, same name, and people are jumping all over themselves to get the new "Classic".
Just wait.
And don't sell that 05. Great bike and will be paid for soon. Add a new 16 to the stable and you'll never be without a fine ride again.
