And when HD does release a fix, if it doesn't correct everything, people will complain that they rushed the fix to market. the MOCO can't win with some people.

It is a little frustrating. I spent a long time trying to get the bike to accept the update for the GPS piece and it won't work. The people Harley used for the GPS update (Navi ) have absolutely not contact info on their site no phone number, no email ........nothing at all. It really does looks like Navi removed all their contact info as they still have the page but it is blank. I have purchased a dozen or more new Harleys and this is the first time with really any kind of issue large or small.
I am sure Harley is aware of the software issues with the infotainment system that is frustrating so many people. I am disappointed the haven't emailed current 14 owners or a least told the dealers that they are aware of some problems and a fix is in the making. My faith in Harley is not gone but they need a rap on the knuckles for their lack of response to the irritation they are causing for their customers. I purchased my last 3 Harley bikes using the profit made from buying their stock. $9.00 in 2009 to $65 in 2013 they are doing something right. I am counting on them trading at $75 by year end but if they don't start looking after some disgruntled customers they may get hurt.

Seems to be less overheat issues of late and it looks like they are fixing the ones that come up. Smaller problem but still annoying is a GPS that wont handle more than 9 stops and an Auto volume control that doesn't work. I have not had a coolant puking problem the fan comes on and off at times but no puking.
On the positive side the bike is faster, handles better, feels better, has less buffeting sticks like glue in the corners, has great lighting, improved passenger comfort and I love it.

OP, a fix will come out when they figure out what the problem is. ALL you can do is 1. keep taking it back to the dealer, complain, get it documented and try getting your bike replaced under some type of lemon law ( which to me is a bit extreme just for a radio problem) 2. DO NOTHING AND WAIT FOR THE FIX TO COME OUT ITS UNDER WARRANTY, RIDE THE **** OUT OF IT. 3. Keep posting on here complaining, LMAO (sorry had to say it) Be patient, the mothership will release a fix when they figure it all out. You have to remember they pushed this bike out the door with all of the new changes so they could keep up with the competition and IMO the bike has not been tested enough before release. Hope you get it figured out, stay safe.

That's Funny. I want a new bike under the lemon laws as the radio has a problem. Should go over big with a Canadian Judge. Who knows the judge may own a 2014 Harley with no AVC.
By the Way pnycar Thank You for your service.

I did a similar thing. Always wanted a Harley but could not afford one. So I kept my Honda VF500 Interceptor and purchased some HD stock. I figured if I believed enough in a company that I trust the safety of my life riding one, then the safety of a grand or two would be no problem.

I made a substantial increase in my down payment for my first Harley through the purchase and sale of HD stock!

Apparently? Well as long as your reporting facts here....

Did you let harley know that you think that two months is sufficient? I'm sure they care what you think.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I'm happy to share my opinion.

Let's face it the MoCo is in the motorcycle business. They do not build stereo equipment, computers or GPS units. I bet they are on their vendors butts like stink on you know what. I would be very surprised to learn otherwise.

However with that said why were these issues not discovered during testing before release of the new models? That is what surprises me.

When they get it all worked out it will be a cool system.

Ride safe

well either their testing and QC is insufficient to detect the flaws or they DID know about them and sold them anyways... same issue with the coolant puking.... either way; it doesn't say much for Harley's "customer focus"
