Default Replace SE Compensator - Dissater!

I followed the instruction from the other thread. Everything went smooth, and I finished the work within 2 hours.
This SE compensator is the previous version of the latest one that requires new rotor and adhesive kit. I bought this set almost two years ago.
Anyway, turned it on and I immediately heard some rattle noise from the rear area (clutch), which I didn't adjust anything at all, but I did checked for the spec.
I decided to ride around the neighborhood to see whether anything may be improved. It was getting worse. It sounds like shaking a bowl of marble *****.
Anyone has a similar symptom?
For sure I have to take it apart next week (go back to work tomorrow).
Thanks much in advance for any info.
Nick

Curious, what primary lube did you use? Any chance any bolts were left loose? Any issues compressing the auto tensioner to reinstall?

You did replace the auto tensioner didn't you?

You did take out the device you used to lock the chain so you could tighten the nut?

Sounds like something got left in there. but I almost left the wood block wedge in there.

I feel bad that my bike has been still running fine with the stock comp at 43K. Smooth and no noise at all. I use Mobil1 20W50 in primary and I have replaced the tensioner at this time. I hope that I have left something in there.

Yes, that's what I hope for, but I don't think I left anything in there. I have to wait until next week to open the whole thing to have a look.

For sure, this will not help or cheer me up at this situation.

Ya know, at 10k I replaced my 2010 stock with a se unit because of all the threads on failed stock compensators, first of all my stock was in perfect shape, but since I had the se unit already I stuck it in. I have about 3k on the se unit and really cannot tell any difference, good or bad. This dec. I will probably take the primary cover off & check it all out, I've seen the se comps wrecked. On your problem I would take it apart asap, it shouldn't make any more noise then stock, something's wrong.

You may not have put the disks in in the correct order, that would probably make a lot of noise as the disks are the springs.
