On your problem I would take it apart asap, it shouldn't make any more noise then stock, something's wrong.
Thanks. That's the plan.
I'm just kind of upset to myself after a couple hours of sitting, crawling on the floor inside a hot garage (~85F), and the result is suck!
I bet I can ride another 40K miles with the stock comp., but it is not the point now.
Gotta do it all over again.

It should be correct, but I will check everything again.
Thanks much for the thought.

Damm! It appears the tensioner melt down!
I'll rather take that than anything else.

How's that happened? A lose bolt or a foreign object that's not suppose to be in there.
I hope I don't see that "crime scene" next week, when I reopen my bike.
I wonder whether there is any damage to the primary cover and its frame.

Chrome harley inner primary. I have a 124 motor, on the highway when happened. I doubt yours broke, but all I heard was a pop and felt a little flutter. Shifted a little different but not as bad as one would think by the looks of it. Stock clutch basket will now be upgrading to an evo industries complete clutch

Holy crap!
I guess oil was all over through the crack.
Somehow, I have a thought of what I have done wrong, but I need to open the cover see the damage, if any, and to confirm and clarify my stupidity.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
