I've ordered a new 2014 SGS and will have V&H Twin Slash Rounds installed with Screamin Eagle intake. I'm trying to decided between the Power Duals and the Dresser Duals. I've read posts on the forum that give differing opinions on the sound and performance differences between the two. Any comments would be much appreciated.
I am a fan of the dresser duals myself. I feel as if the look better as well as sound better! You will get more power from the power duals, but "I" myself was not looking for a powerhouse of a street glide when I installed the dresser duals along with a set of twin slash rounds. If I want to go fast I will hop in my corvette...
Hi KB5.
I have had true duals with the twin slash rounds, but they had quiet baffles installed in them when I bought them off a forum member. They sounded "alright". Far too loud to tour with but they did have a good idle and believe me I've tried a lot of configurations before deciding that touring with true duals isn't where it's at, for me or my riding cohorts.
You and your powerplant would be far more happy with something smaller than a huge 2.5" baffle and TD's.
I have the 4 inch Rinehart slip ons and was thinking of the dresser duals. I like the looks better. I have enough power and will get more with them and the a.c and map when it's done.

Going with a set of DDs with 4" Rineharts this time next week. Mine's a basic stage 1 with a PCV map, as long as its the same as it is with a decatted stock header with my current SE Fatshotz performance wise I'll be happy. Not expecting any big changes.

I have power duals with twin slash rounds, with stock cam configuration sound was ok, intermittent pop on deceleration which is kind of annoying, maybe a tuning issue (not sure yet) After cam install has much better exhaust note.
I have Power Duals with Monster Rounds and a great TTS tune (JD's). For a basically stock bike, it runs great. No popping at all and plenty of power 2 up.

Dresser duals, monster ovals and PCV here. Love the sound, as far as my *** is concerned no/zero loss in power and she barks!!! You will NOT regret them. Fit and finish superb!!!
