Cat's or Not? Headpipe
Just wanted to know if the 09 Ultra with a 96" has a cat or not, or is it one of those years that did it both ways. Hope someone can give me a straight answer buying or cutting.

a catted header can be checked with a ballpen on the front pipe, tap from the head down...
"tink, tink, tink- clunk" means cat
if it tinks all the way down- no cat
or you can decode the VIN
many dealers bordering CA carry CA spec bikes, rather than carry 2 product lines.
when i was shopping for an 09 in PHX I found that about 1/3 of the bikes i looked at were catted.
