Hi Was wondering if someone can answer this on the SEPST softaware under 2010-2013 touring some of the maps are 009 and half way down the list they change to 044 can someone explain why the difference?Thx
For the price anyone who considered a SEPST, opted for a Power Vision, so good luck....
Obviously a data change forced a file title change but it sounds like your looking for an exact answer, as to what changed.
Compare maps in your software and let everyone know the answer to your question.
2010 was when the 044 maps were introduced for the 2010-2013 touring. The exact reason remains a mystery since there is no one to call that produces the SEPST. The only visible difference is in the VE tables. after a comparison that is all I found. you need to remember that what we can see for tables/maps is limited to what they want us to see. Both TTS & PV have opened some other tables that SEPST software does not let you see.
When I first started there was only the 009 for the 2010 touring. I saw the 044 there in 2011 but not until this year did I flash the 044.
there was an immediate difference noticed and so I will be keeping the 044 in there.
Perhaps the 009 is left in there for those that are still using it, perhaps the hidden files are beefed up.
In any event for those just starting to use it, use the 044
SO you were running 009 map then you loaded the 044 map and noticed an immediate difference can you tell me what was the difference you noticed?thx
I had the 009 running great already, this was just for the heck of it, I expected to reload my 009. The 044 loaded without data runs was crisper, more snappy, still is after some VE adjustments. There must be some thing other hidden files that are in there. others will have to try and see if they get same results.
If you compare the two the 3D graph shows a smoother and higher VE to start.

I agree with 1Canuck on this. I have a 2010 FLHTK and it came with the 9 strategy. I converted to the 44 last week and it did make some difference. Can't put my finger on it. I had transferred my current 9 data to the 44. The strategies are HD stuff. All three of the flash tuners use the same numbering system. I have also looked at and compared the 9 to 44 and the 9 has several tables that the 44 doesn't make available. I have also noticed all 9 strategies don't use the same tables. I have found 3 bikes with 9 strategy that should have been 44 strategy. One is 2012 FLHTK with TW555 and 30 tooth pulley, one was 2013 Roadglide CVO, and the other was a 2013 Roadglide ultra. Transfered data from the 9 to 44 map and all three seem to run smoother. Like someone said earlier there are hidden tables that we can't access is all I can figure. All three that had 9 strategy came on the PV. It may not be any real difference, but as the saying goes latest and greatest. They didn't create the 44 for nothing.
If you have a PV run the Update Client and do the firmware update and database updates and look at some of the 2014 maps. They use the 614 strategy and it has several different tables. The VE tables go up in increments of 5 on the kpa axis and the RPM scale is all together different also. The selection of tables is more similar to the TTS software on the table selections. And before someone ask it won't load on a earlier touring. It may on the 2011 and later CAN systems or what ever they are calling it with the 6 pin canbus cable.
