Default soft lowers

So, purchased Harley soft lowers for the 13 SG. Have used them a couple times. Really like how they block the wind and keep the legs warm. Only issue is that I keep smelling exhaust. Sometimes pretty strong. Does this make sense?

No,it doesn't,unless you have really short exhaust. If they're normal length, past the bags you shouldn't be smelling nothing.I've thought about buying those too.Maybe you have a leak.

So, the rubber tubes blocked or cracked?

I have them for two seasons now. The smell is the right one, the strap is close to the exhaust and it is burning a bit. Check it out. Mine has been that way for a long time. Close enough to slightly burn the strap, not enough to go all the way through.

They go on every fall and late spring. What a difference!

Maybe, that strap is close. Not really a burning smell. Exhaust. Due for the 10000 service in the next couple weeks so will be taking the air cleaner off anyway. Will check out the rest to see if there are issues.
