I know the heads cams and pistons should be matched sets. The clutch upgrade, pushrods, lifters, those things are what I am looking to find cheap if possible. eBay or whatever.
I'm actually looking at a couple 103 head and cyl new take offs at around 500 for the set and having those heads done, adding a good cam. I may be happy with that. The right stuff can put me 105-110 trq. Not worried much about the hp. Looking at pricing that route.
What do y'all think?
I hear ya... back in my day it was all about the HP now its all about the torque
Not only is torque so important for a bagger, but where the torque is made. 110 lb/ft of torque at 4500 rpm is useless on a bagger. Need it building strong at 3000 rpm.
