I had a great time. We stayed at Crescent Beach so I spent alot of time on A1A and the loop. I also enjoyed destination Daytona, the Track, and Main street. It didn't seem as crowded as previous years. The weather was great and I had plenty of good food and cold beer. Really enjoyed High Tides out on A1A.

the ride thru the forest and the parkand up to crescent city was nice. except no real curves anywhere.

the food at 3 bananas restaurant by the lake shore was also ok.

and next year,i will go back and will stay far away from the circus in main street. but will not miss the races, the gear heads, the auction in deland ,and the displays ......they make daytona worth the trip.

and zadmat,

have been to and taken a few laps in laconia. much nicer nowadays as compared to the old days when the main attraction was the burning of the wannabagos or is it winnabagos ?? late at nite when the guys got really drunk .......i do go back that far ........

Hey FFB, i actually brought my boys to the race last year inLoudonon aSunday and had a great time, a little disappointing that the big names don't show up anymore to race though. I remember seeing Eddie Lawson, Spencer, Merkyl and others race at the track. They did clean it up a little bit but there are areas you can get into touble if you aren't careful. I will say if you want a clean rally though there is one in Lake George New York which my wife and i go to and that is pretty sedated compared to some of the others. The area is awesome with the mountains and the lake and great area to ride. If you ever get a chance you should go. I have never been to Daytona bike week but would like to attend some year and hopefully soon i can go.

I would love to go to the Daytona race and I don't know if it was like Loudon where there really aren't that many bikers that actually go to the race.

i would say that the races at daytona have lost some luster . attendance and events are way down form what it used to be,
laconia and louden is just very similar to daytona in some areas but smaller on size .

and lake george,i assume that you mean AMERICADE is fine. but crowded also.there are a number of events that i attend in the area during this time but most of them are small groups that get together and rent ski houses ,etc, and just go riding. mostly sports and sports touring bikes. and fast riding and many miles covered in a day mostly in backroads with plenty of curves ..

last year the bmw national took place in essex (next to burlington ) vermont and i was not able to make it but it was ,i hear a great rally.
