I think I'm on my last bike right now (65 with chronic fatigue). I got rid of the last dirt bike about 10 years ago and last sport bike about 5 years ago. Supermoto is next. I know my brain and reflexes are going but can't completely quit riding yet. There will be no 3 wheeler in my future. All the disadvantages of a car and none of the advantages?? Looking at a used Lotus Elise?
I've always wanted to try a side hack. These days they're kind of rare I have a friend that has RK with one but he also still has a two wheeler Honda VTX.He uses the side hack to haul his wife and rides the VTX when he's by himself. He got the side Hack because his wife can't ride on the VTX anymore.I had allot of fun riding those Honda three wheelers when I was younger I wonder if you can spin wheel up donuts on a TriGlide?
At almost 59, I know that age and medical issues can change your goals and plans. (I thought I would be a tournament fighter all of my life too, and then there was this tumor that took half of paraspinal muscles with it.) Although I hope I'm far from here, I can foresee a time when I decide I am a risk to myself and others on two wheels.
I respect those that switch to a trike when the time is right. I can see myself doing that someday. (But I told my wife that if I ever mention getting a Can-Am Spyder, she should shoot me. )
I found the more I ride the easier it is to stay confident I can hold the bike up......the less I ride it seems the heavier the bike gets......odd huhh. Muscle memory I guess.
