Default Street Glide Hard Lowers

Have a 2013 SG and purchased some soft lowers. Really like how they block the wind and thinking of some hard lowers. Question to SG owners who have hard lowers. Where did you buy them and do you leave them on all year. Worth the 500 dollar Harley price?

Bought mine used on ebay for $299 shipped, arrived perfect but I searched ebay for months waiting for a good deal.

The bad thing about the lowers is yes, after you install you might never remove them.

I just bought the ebay Matazu Lowers

Lowers: $139 Shipped Sold in Vivid Black Only
HD Mounting Hardware $31
Paint $85 base coat, hat my clear, and hardener and reducer already, and did the paining myself.

I have $255 in them plus I painted my inner fairing with that investment.

I did have to trim them by the rear master banjo bolt, couln't get them to slide under. Some say with some finesse they will go, but I didn't want to destroy my fresh paint, I also had to pich the snaps on the door flaps so they fit tight. All in all not to bad for the money.

Yes have them. Leave them on year round. Great place for speakers. Got them off Forum member. I don't remember, $250/$300 like new. I do have a pair of non-vented ones with speaker pods that need paint, $200.

I used them for two rides this fall and it's snowing tonight. The salt goes down and the bike gets put away till spring. There's no way I would ever use them in the summer and although I hear lots of guys say they leave them on, there's no way I will. I don't ride in the rain, and I prefer the air on hot or warm days. I definitely like the look without them vs with them. I leave them on the stock engine guard and change out the engine guard for a mustache guard rather than take them off and on. Not sure if I'd buy them again but as long as I have them ......

Not a Street Gilde, but same thing. Bought mine from Harley and paid $679. I leave them on year round and combined with a taller windshield the "buffeting" is gone!

Had them on my SG, have them on my RG. Got them used thru the classifieds here. Stay on year round. Bike is much more comfortable with them.

Had them on my 2012 FLHXSE3 and just ordered a set for my 13FLHX. Love the way they block wind, rain, road debris, and the extra speakers are kick a$$

Have them on my 07 Street Glide all year and see no reason to pull them off. It is great protection from the elements etc.
