Geoff-

Agreed and agreed again. On my used "new to me" '07 Heritage Softail Classic" the deal included around $5 k worth of xtra accessories that were added, brand new front and rear tires, new battery and I could tell that the previous owner took TLC of the bike. People think I am on a new bike and get lotsa compliments on it. I opted for a five year warranty just be safe, but kinda wonder if I'll need it...

I hate the motor company so much I'll never buy a new bike again (I know never say never) but if ya like all the extras on a CVO and never plan on changing it they aren't a bad deal. There is no way I could ride a stock HD (no matter how much CVO chrome), so not for me.

I feel the same exact way. No way I would pay what they're asking for these bikes new. I agree that there's a ton of low mileage used bikes to choose from that the original owners took the hit on.
For those if you that do buy em, more power to ya. I can afford to buy the top of the line but its not practical to me. I'm just too big of a tightwad I guess.

That is a gorgeous bike though. I opted for the plain old "cheap" Limited.

Me too! I plan on riding my 2012 FLHX forever! I have just way too much into it in mods! I stopped counting after 10K mark! Someday when the 103 gets tired I'll drop in a 120R ! With 10K on the Odo thats a long time from now. Down the road I see me buying a nice clean slightly used Fat Boy for around town. Im done buying new stuff! LOL Id rather put extra cash into my 401K & Roth IRA!

Wow, they are really getting up there. Hard thing to believe is it will be sold pretty quick. A couple years ago I was looking at the CVO Ultra or something, it was already sold, dealer said the guy bought a CVO the year before and had to trade it in to get the new one. That's a lot of money flowing around there.

There's a used CVO RG (I think it's an '09) on the dealer's floor near me & they are asking $28K. I thought the prices were supposed to go down in the winter!

But honestly, the new bikes are VERY nice! For the first time in years, they seem to have taken a leap forward and updated so much of the very dated styling.
