I just (5 min ago) pulled the trigger on a 16" recurve elite LRS for my king.. once I get it, I'll post up how it works for me. Can't wait to try it out!
I can make you a Road King shield with Re-Curve as low as 14". However, you do need to be careful with how low you go. The wind may just flow right into your head, rather than over your head. Generally, ours are made to look over by a couple of inches and that's it. That allows the wind to go up and over your head completely and allows you to see over the shield comfortably. That's what I found out on my Road King and Electra Glide; I could easily see over the LRS Re-Curve Shield yet still have a nice clean flow of air. LRS makes a nice product at a good price.
