I want to check if there are any among you who have had the same problem. 2014 103 engine on FLHR, 300 miles. The picture was taken two days after 2 or 3 drops of oil were wiped, the engine has not been started after the thorough cleaning. Bike is now at the dealer for ? time, they told me that the engine must be removed and opened to redo the gasket. Two HD mechanics I talked to said they had never seen it!
I feel that this is the beginning of a long serie of visits to the dealer.
That's a very uncommon place to leak. I would bet you have a bad casting. or just a guy that had a shitty day putting engine halves together. have them toss some upgrades in for you while their in there. because your motor is coming ALL THE WAY APART.

After only 300 miles I would be pushing for a replacement bike!!!!!
Had a '90 FXSTC that did that from day 1 for 11 years that I had it, but from the motor mounts on down. I ran it that way for 11 years without a problem. It would only weep when sitting for awhile. The more I rode it, the less it leaked.
looks like sealant is missing on a 2 inch spot where it leaks. not a big deal for a competent tech. make sure they inspect bike and agree on condition before starting so if anything is scratched it is on them (it was like that when we got it) Mike
Are you shittin me? that may be one of the densest comments I have ever read. A new bike with 300 miles and leaking from the case, Its new just have them fix it.
Man that's sucks, not cool to have a brand new engine opened up. Hopefully they wont do to much damage to your paint. For some reason they always find a way to scratch a new bike while working on it. Dickey, have you been hitting the sauce a little heavy today, hell no he shouldn't live with it, its a brand new bike.
I had a leak around the same mileage but further down where the tranny meets. They replaced the gasket ect some cases ect. I felt like wtf ,of course it came back as just an annoying weep occasionally spiting a couple drops it also spread a bit but not too bad, with 47k on it now, at this rate I don't think it will ever get drastically worse at least its on the bottom and not rideing hazard. Strange these things always leak.Even after 100+ years of building bikes.
