I picked up my new '14 SGS on Saturday. 140 miles on it and I love everything about it except I've noticed a pretty substantial vibration during deceleration, slowing to a stop. If I pull the clutch in it goes away. It's so notceable that when I let go of the left grip, it vibrates so much it's a blur.
Anyone ever experience this or have any ideas.
As far as I know this is normal vibration as my bike does it as well. I usually engine brake at first and then pull in the clutch and finish braking while downshifting. But yes if I brake while coming to a stop with the bike in gear you do feel a vibration until the clutch is pulled in. Maybe someone that can explain what this is exactly will chime in here.
My 2014 RK has the exact same thing, I found if I down shift and better match the road speed with the engine speed it does not vibrate. its more like a paint shaker vibration. I will like to hear others response to this.
There is no doubt they do it, my brother and two friends all bought new bikes this year. We have a SG, a CVO Limited, RG, and Heritage and all three of the baggers do this on decel if you don't keep the rpms up above 2k while braking without the clutch pulled in. I'm unsure of the Heritage because we haven't talked about this.

Webo, you hit the nail on the head. I've done a search on both forums and a Google search to no avail. I'll pursue it a little more but may not do anything about it untill my 1k service. I'll let you know if I find anything out. Awesome bike though, It has definately exceeded my expectations.
Ride safe!

Had the same problem- decell 2100-1700. Asked the dealer and got the "wow, Ive never heard anyone complain about that". Thats the same response I got when I complained about the Infotainment system. They have to be getting bonuses to act like this. Nobody acts this stupid for free
Mines doing the same. Left handlebar shaking etc. Only thing I can think of is the rubber mounted engine/tranny. Doesn't really feel wrong or bad... just different.
