Default EFI Mapping

I spoke with a Factory Rep. at Bike Week, and he told me about a web site called www.hdmaps.com. You can download a MAP for your SERT based on your bikes set-up. Alot more affordable than a Dyno Tune. It can be done at home with a PC and a SERT. I downloaded the instructional video and it looks rather straight forward. Any of you out there familiar with this site and/or any thoughts on this type of thing ......

$69.00 is an affordable pop compared to a Dyno. Do ya think that the final result would be worth it?

I downloaded a map for my 07 ultra with rinehart true duals and the engine would hardly run below 2000 rpm, I tried to contact them via phone but all I got was continual voice mails. I eventually emailed the map to cycle-rama, they in turn revised it and emailed back. I loaded on the sert, and thought I had different engine. I suppose you get what you pay for! I did eventually have cycle-rama to dyno it and they made all the difference in the world. My .02 worth

My local dealer told me last week, $90 for 1 1/2 hrs. on a dino to set up my SERT. I don,t think I,ll buy a canned map.

You can go to the website and see the maps they have available... not really that many for 07 Touring models, yet.

Every bike is different, and these canned maps are too general. Pay the money for the dyno, specific to your bike, local conditions, and I can bet you will be happier. Everyone I know that has done the dyno run swears it was the best money spent on their rig, including myself. Make sure your shop is comfortable with your setup, be it a SERT or PCIII. I ran into a lot of shops near me that did one or the other...

one of the sponsors here Team Latus also sells SERT maps. was going to get one, but decided to have it dyno'd and have a custom map built for my bike. Since i did not have HD stage 1 parts installed, but instead went aftermarket. the generic SERT map was close, butwas running a bit lean, so opted to do the dyno and refine the map. BTW,did get a copy of the custom map on a memory stick for later use.
