I hang it up when it gets below 30 and stays there. It's not really the cold, I have the gear, It's the roads. Morning frost and black ice sucks on two wheels. Ask me how I know........50, damn I'm glad I'm only 49.
I stop riding around 35-40 degrees or once I see the first salt truck on the road. I don't want to take any chances in hitting any ice and I know what salt does to cars...
I've ridden almost everyday since March 2008. The coldest in Houston has been 22 degrees a couple of years ago. I missed 2 days due to ice on roads. I have heated gear and good rain gear.

As long as the roads are clear I ride. Down to the teens in the morning and 30s riding home in the evening. Only 11 miles each way so I don't need to dress too warm, hah
