A bit chilly here , just north of Tampa about 34 degrees. Suppose to be in the 60's today. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. JR

Exactly my method, all the way down to the teens. If its below 30, I just add some toe heat pads (the stick on kind you can get at Home Depot) and I'm good to go all day. My winter riding buddy has heated pant liner and heated socks as well and swears by them. Under the heated gear, I usually have just 2 layers, a thermal under shirt and a turtleneck.

I like the sounds of those heated grips. Don't have any experience with those but the search is on. Any brand out there you guys can recommend?
BTW, Happy Thanksgiving! Eats some bird today and share the Love, were a Blessed people.

For me as long as it is not wet and over 20 degrees,, will ride to events... Work,, only when warm since it is a 40 mile ride and city traffic sucks... Today riding to an event at the local Vets Home to help out with their Turkey Dinner!! Right now temp is 27 and not supposed to get up above 34.. Today,, heavy jacket, gloves,, chaps and nice boots.. no heated gear here!! I guess living in Alaska in 1977 working mid shift on the ramp with aircraft my blood never got thin again.

I just took a ride here in SW Florida (45 degrees) it was nice to put on the leather jacket. It was exhilarating to say the least. Now I am ready to help in the kitchen. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Gerbing heated gloves and jacket, chaps, heavy leather boots, balaclava under a modular helmet and a neoprene neck wrap. With the heated gear and the heated grips I can ride down to 18 deg comfortably for the 25 mile ride to work.
The down side is that it takes me 10 minutes to get suited up

It was 9 here last night. The high has not been over 30 in four days. I had to shovel snow on the walk yesterday for the first time this year. Winter is still 3 weeks away. Last year we were riding into the first week of January, I don't think it will happen this year.
