Someone has a sundowner seat for sell and I have a couple questions!
First one is what are the differences from my stock seat and the sundowner? It looks like the passenger seat is a bit bigger? Next what is the difference between the 07 seat and 08! I have an 08 RKC and I think this says it fits 97-07!

I'm pretty sure that 2008 was the first year for the 6 gallon gas tank. Long story short, a 97-07 seat will not fit an 08. An 08 wont fit a 97-07.
The Sundowner will raise you up a tad and back.
I put one on my 07 when I had it and then on my 12 when I bought it.
I have a 32" inseam so my long legs needed to get back a ways.
The mounting tab is different between 07 and 08. One has a female and the other a male, so they aren't compatible.
I HAD a sundowner, but returned it..... Comfy, but too big in my opinion for a stripped down bike like the FLHX. It has a much bigger passenger seat than the stocker, and cradles the rider better, but sat too high for my taste. Good luck with your decision!
Thanks for the input! My wife says the stock seat is fine I was just trying to get a bit more seat for her and if will help me since I'm 6'4" that's a bonus!

Lol. That's because your wife doesn't want you spending any more money!!
I'm 6' and tried out the Sundowner at the dealer's they had to try out. It raised me up an inch and closer to the tank an inch. I have a '12 FLHX.
Also tried the Tallboy and gave me a little more leg room but really looked like.... Well it wasn't pretty!
I wound up with a C&C Sport Tour. Sits me an inch lower and at least an inch back. The seat is also narrower up by the tank. They are a little spendy though.
You should ask your dealer if they have a Sundowner you can try to see if it fits you and is what you're looking for. If you want a HD seat, you should really try it first before you buy if your local dealership offers that option.
I had the sundowner for my fatbob and now for my streetglide. Not for my comfort but the wifes. It's only on there when she's on. I don't care for the way they look but if it keeps the wife from complaining...
I don't know why people are saying a Sundowner raises you up, it did the opposite for me. Lowered me and pushed me back an inch or more. The seat was much lower than the stock Electra Glide seat and although it has a nice passenger seat, it's smaller than the stock seat. Also way more comfortable. Maybe after '07 they changed the seats and it raises people, but mine sure doesn't. That stock couch that came on my bike was way too high.
I recently put on a Badlander, which worked great for me but the wife rode one time on it and said she wouldn't ride again with that seat so I switched back to the Sundowner. I have kept it on now because it is more comfortable.

That's because of the different bike model types and different stock seats that people are commenting on. My opinion came from a '09 or later FLHX.
That's why I suggested that he tries one out at his dealership if it is offered before he buys. Everyone will have a different point of view on a seat, kind of like pipes. Lol.
