I installed Heat Deamons last winter, the ones that go inside the bar, and have been very disappointed. I'm running chubby bars, which are thicker than a stock harley bar so that may be part of it. But I had to bore out the right side to get it to fit with the twist grip sensor, so that side is a similar gage to a stock bar and it doesn't warm up any more than the left. Also running the rubber nostalgic style grips.
The Heat Demons replaced a set up Harley heated grips that were nothing to write home about, but much better than the Heat Deamons.
I'm planning to swap bars out again this winter and am looking for something that will do the job down to mid 40's.
I've contacted Wild Chubby's and Heat Demons about this issue, said can't help!!! one thing you forgot to mention was TBW, there is little room to fit the Heat Demon inside the bar, there isn't anything on the horizon to update this issue.
So bottom line is if you have Wild Chubby's bars you CANNOT use Heat Demons!! unless you waller out the ID of the bars to make it fit.

i was just about ot ask the ? About the tbw. Guess i'll scrap this idea
I installed the Heat Demons inside the bars last winter. I have stock Heritage bars and Kuryakin Iso-Grips. They do not heat the grips as well as I would like and I have been told that it is the fault of the grips. I need to use them a the highest setting to feel anything. Have not tried stock grips but I think that would help. The iso-grips are too thick.
Not sure what the part number is but I just ordered the kit that has 3 HEATING ELEMENTS ( 2 inside bar heating elements, 1 outside bar elements)
I spoke with heat demons a couple years back and they were working on a set for the TBW handlebars.
Fast forward, If I am correct, this is the new kit that allows a option for the throttle side handlebar. Because SOME handlebars inner dimension are too small, and/or tight for both the heating element and the TBW.
this allows you the choice to have the heating element on the right side either inside the handle bar or on the outside of the handlebar, inside the grip.
If all works out right, I should have my heat demons installed next Monday, as my heat Demons are coming in later this week.
