Go with the 48, you will love it. Don't do what a lot of us have done and think just because it cost $200 more it's better....that isn't always the case, trust me!
+1 on this. I spent the extra because it was an "HD" cam (254e) and I wasn't satisfied. The 48H cams are much better IMO
put the 254e in my 12 103 and IMO it lacked what I had with the 48H on my 96. So I talked to Gary Wallace at Andrews and although he recommended the 57H,.
Why did Gary recommend the 57's over the 48's for the 103. I'm going with the 57's but curious what he had to say.
for a bolt in cam, he stated the 57 was better than the 48 mainly because they supposedly pull longer across the curve/further to the right. But I know enough to know that it's all about the tune. I've seen some pretty impressive 48H charts in stock 103s just as I have with the 57H.
I know the 254e to me was a disappointment so I went back with what I knew worked very well, the 48H. It was simply a judgment call for me.
Thanks Ultra. Pretty much had my mind made up anyway but just wondered what he had to say. There's so many cam choices its really hard to nail it down.

with the stock 103, you can pretty much expect 70-ish HP and 85-ish TQ. with the 57h, you can expect to see that increase (all based on the tune of course) about 90-ish HP and 102-ish TQ

Yessir and with some mild head work and a ,027 head gasket and a good tune should get me mid 90's and closer to 110tq and will be in my usable range.
Looks like I'm going with the 222. Thanks for all the advice

If your not planning on anything in the future the tw-222 are a good choice, if you might want to do 106/107 or head work in the future the tw-555 might be a better choice.
I ran the tw-555 in my 96" and it would pull very nice, later installed a 106 and had stage II headwork done and it really ripped. Now I'm almost happy.
I went with the TW555 in a 2007 Ultra with V&H Monster Ovals, 2/1/2 head pipes, Power Vision and a Doherty Power Pac Air Cleaner. What a difference it comes on at 2800 and pulls to 5500 no problem, still pulling but time to shift.
I have gone against 103's with a SE 204 cam and pulled away from them. I really like the way it works and ride 2 up most times. Below 2800 it feels equivalent to stock.
