the TW 222 is not a bad choice. It has excellent low end and good top end. Have done couple of maps for 96's with 222 and 555 and they both work about the same. The 222 come on about 200 quicker. One of the 555 had 30 tooth pulley and will run with the 555 cams and 10+ compression. The 777, 888, and 7H all have .575 lift which is a little much for the stock springs and the overlap little large for a stock compression 96. Lot of people run them with stock springs, but I feel should have the .585 springs or the SE BEEHIVE's

I ran the tw-555 in my 96" and it would pull very nice, later installed a 106 and had stage II headwork done and it really ripped. Now I'm almost happy.
+1 if you are planning to go bigger later the TW-555 is a great cam. I have it in my 107. The TW-555 will work fine in a 96" and be great in the 107".

The TW-222 is one of the best drop in cams out there. I have it in my 103. An am very happy with it as a "cam only".

Hope this helps.
