For those that bought the KO detachable 4PT hardware - do you know the brand or source? ie: custom chrome, VT mfg. Drag, etc?

THANK YOU! Finally someone said Kutter. I am ashamed to admit it, but I too have "considered" some of the ebay parts, because I'm only 28 and cant afford to spend what the dealer wants for parts. I do however strongly feel that the parts from Harley are "better" parts, and do not get me wrong, I am in no way shape or form ignorant or naive. I DO strongly believe most all parts, for any industry, are coming from China, but thats another day and another argument for why the US continues to send everything overseas. The reason I say this is not only from experience, but also the common sense factor. The moco has a Quality Assurance department, while the asian guy with a U.S. mailing address for his parts business does not. Also, in 2 years from now if something did happen, say your wife falls off the back. Im pretty sure a company like the moco is going to look into it, or at least be someone a little easier to go after than lingling shinsu that closed their ebay account by then.

With that being said, I have always bought used parts from older gentlemen that may be upgrading. Figured there was nothing wrong with it, I'm not riding to impress anyone. Until a few months ago someone put me onto Kutter, and now for the life of me. I CANNOT understand WHY ANYONE would buy parts from a dealer for MSRP plus tax, even when you "get a discount". My next purchase is going to be streamliner floorboards for the passenger. Look below and tell me why anyone would buy from anyone on ebay, instead of getting a HD box with your stuff, and knowing it will fit. Then god forbid it fails, you know where it came from.

Knock Offs $321.50

HD Parts $323

Just figured I'd pass on that tidbit, because I ws happy as hell the day someone showed me that website. Now when these idiots selling their used parts ask for 80% of what they paid for it I laugh, because theyre still asking more for the part than I would pay at kutter. Hope that helps.

You can try this one. Just depends on what year you're looking for. This is for 14 and up.

I ordered the detachable luggage rack last week and tracking shows it will be on my door step after work...I will let you know how the quality is. For what Harley wanted and what I paid, I decided to take the chance...here is the link. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...98479&_sacat=0

I bought the docking HW, sissybar with pad, and a Luggage rack from this seller located in San Jose,

http://www.ebay.com/sch/xsuperstore/...1&_ipg=&_from=

After all the research and price comparison, you couldnt tell a difference between the OEM or these Knockoffs I bought

If anyone is interested I have the docking hardware that allows one accessory at a time, either the back rest or luggage rack. If interested let me know.

I used both. Thought it was a snug fit. Swapped to oem and the fit seemed the same. One thing I did notice is that the screws, spacers, plastic clips on front of detach rack are not interchangeable with Harley brand

I just got my aftermarket luggage rack just like the one posted above. You really can't tell the difference that it isn't harley other than it doesn't say harley across the back. I only paid $61.00 with shipping included....
