is this a monetary thing? I put two kids through college, have a nice home and a great wife. we are comfortable and have our health. If thats the case, I am wealthy.
Nah man, the RUB classification doesnt have nothing to do with income. If it was then all those builders out there would be RUBs. Rubs dont ride thier bikes they trailer them!
I have a buddy who says he will never finance a toy, so he has paid cash for everyone of his motorcycles. he puts about 15k miles a year on them combined (owns 3 right now) He sure as hell aint a rub, lol.
If you have that, and good relationships, then you have more than the wealth of Midas!

Trust me it does not matter how much you make over all, it's how much does one have after...... uncle sam, uncle state , sales tax, property tax, then there's the tax on a tax, tax on interest tax on the interest etc. etc. etc. your expenses etc.
I do well, but taxes eat us alive. So to answer, I'd say you were RICH, if you hit the lotto for 10M after taxes .
You guys act like being a RUB is a bad thing, thats another thing that shows you are one. Face it, Its not a bad thing to be able to aquire these toys and all the expense that goes with them, but to the many that work 9-5 day in/day out and can't get ahead of even their utility bills we are RUB'S. To us, a real RUB is the guy who trailers to every destination over a hundred miles away. Buys everything harley sells from his boxers on out. Tries to look like trump during the week and a hells Angel on weekends. LOL

I have a very good paying job, but I am not a RUB.
But, I am rich, meaning....I have my health, wife & kids health, and a wife who says "If you're spending big money it better have wheels & make noise". Top that!
That is the same way may wife is.. It so cool I love my wife. I just dont have kids
To me Rich is not money. Money makes one wealthy if managed correctly. Being Rich is having your home, family and friends and no regrets. Looking at it that way I am very Rich but not very wealthy. What does RUB mean?
