What would you call "rich"?
To me Rich is not money. Money makes one wealthy if managed correctly. Being Rich is having your home, family and friends and no regrets. Looking at it that way I am very Rich but not very wealthy. What does RUB mean?

We have five rides between two of us, only one not paid for.We live paycheck to paycheck, haveenough money in the bank to take a weekend trip if we get lucky enough to betake a couple of days a month off from our business and working like dogs to be able to enjoy what we have worked so hard to get.
Income and money in the bank are totally different than being rich and wealthy.
A RUB trailers instead of rides.
We are just plain bikers, day in and dayout and areproud of it.

You guys act like being a RUB is a bad thing, thats another thing that shows you are one. Face it, Its not a bad thing to be able to aquire these toys and all the expense that goes with them, but to the many that work 9-5 day in/day out and can't get ahead of even their utility bills we are RUB'S. To us, a real RUB is the guy who trailers to every destination over a hundred miles away. Buys everything harley sells from his boxers on out. Tries to look like trump during the week and a hells Angel on weekends. LOL
The term RUB is mostly used in an insulting manner, so its easy to see why some think its a bad thing.
I dont feel that this (owning aharley)is only a rich man domain. At lunch, I checked the local paper classified ads. There was 6 harleys listed for under $10K. I am not talking about taking food out of the kids mouths, but if Joe Lunchbox really wanted to ride, there are plenty of options.
Buta lot of guys have bought into the notion that if you cannot wheel the latest, or most 'out-there' bike, then its not even worth trying. And for them to sit on the sidelines, stewing in their jealously, and calling me a RUB as an insult because I have what they cannot... well that really rubs me the wrong way (pun intended) They sure as hell dont see the 3 straight years of night school, 5 nights a week, (while working 50-60 hours a week), getting my degree, 10 years of taking crap jobs with 75+% travel earning my spurs, and all that I sacraficed in getting to where I am now. To them, I am just an undeserving bastard who got lucky.
But that being said, your definition of a "real RUB" is the most truthful thing I have read in a while.
