The dealership where I bought my '07 Street Glide charged $65 to process the title and get the tags and registration. The state I live in requires that a new vehicle have tags within 45 days. On day 46 I had not received the registration and tag, I went to the dealer and complained (nicely). They said they couldn't refund the $65 for title and tags for some legal reason. Instead they gave me a HD gift card for $65 and apologized. That made me happy!!
Not counting State Tax, Title and registration fees, what do they want for the bike? MSRP on the bike is $18, 295 plus $325 for the Security System. That's $18,620. SOunds to me like they are wanting yet another $1100.
I'd go elsewhere.

He said OTD price was that extra $1100, which means that includes the tax title and registration. That being the case, it doesn't sound that farfetched.
Dealer's Business License Tax - $36.99 (Shouldn't this already be paid for?!?! You had to have this to do business)
and
Administrative Processing Fee - $199.50 (Why should I have to pay an administrative fee...don't they have to pay the people doing the processing (or whatever they do on a daily basis) even if they don't sell any bikes?)
It is only $240, but its the principal. They gave a good deal on the bike -$1000 on MSRP, but are charging $800 in freight & set-up other dealers in the area are a bit cheaper.
Should I stop bitchin and just sign the papers. The OTD price is $19,756.62 on a 07 Blk SG w/security and cast wheels.
I am going to pick up the bike Saturday, and I just wanted to know If I should raise hell or not.
Moe
Those go into the "unexpected fees" category. I would bitch, as this is pure BS. Using their logic, they could just as well add a "electricity bill fee" and "water bill fee" to cover their utilities, then maid service, the owner's haircuts, etc. My dealer didn't charge any of that stuff, and were reasonable on prep and shipping. Actually, prep is bogus, too--as that should be absorbed in their generous profit. I should've asked to take it home in the crate and nix the prep fee, but I'm sure they don't give us any options for that.
Call and tell them you've changed your mind and want to shop around some more. If they ask why tell them -- too many fees. Tell them if they are willing to reduce these fees (basically lower the OTD price, you're willing to listen, otherwise you need to visit other dealers. If they want to sell the bike, they'll make you a deal. If not, look elsewhere. Otherwise you'll always feel you got ripped off.

He Also stated that they dropped $1000 off of the MSRP. Doesn't sound like it to me...
