Default Progressive Lowering Kit 10-1561 or 10-2003 ?

I have searched and did not find what I was looking for.

I have a black front end kit here that I plan on installing over the Christmas break. While I have the forks apart I would like to install a progressive lowering kit. I see they have a "drop in" which I understand is not really drop in, and they have another "regular" lowering kit.

Does anyone have any experience with the ride quality, etc. of either of the kits?

I am interested in the monotube lowering kit as well but really don't want to spend the extra money on it if the drop in or regular kit will get the job done.

Thanks for the help.

Allow me to revive this thread (instead of starting a new one). Been searching and reading for the last couple days but haven't found a clear answer to the OP question (in the title).

Every where i go (even on progressive's site) it appears both those kits will fit an 09 Street Glide; I'm not sure which one to get.

What i mainly want is that the kit be a true "drop-in" and that I'm able to lower the forks in whatever increments i want between 1-2" not just 1 OR 2".

So what kit should i get 10-1561 or 10-2003 ?

Thanks in advance.

Second thread revival here! LOL

I am looking to lower my night train (I know, not a touring model) and the part numbers for the drop and regular kit are both the same for my bike as above, so I would like to know which to go with and why? From what I have researched it seems that even the drop in kit is NOT actually a drop in, but I am not sure why. Any pointers on which way to go here would be great! I wanna get this thing down in the weeds asap!
