I would listen to what the experienced folks here are saying. My only input is that my kit came with motion pro cables. I have had zero issues with them. They work. I am unsure how or why some call them junk but again they do what they are supposed to if that ends up being an option.
Gotta love the Malo bars. Those things are bad@ss on the road glide. Got the exact same ones on mine. With that being said, I have the Sterling Chromite II on mine. Have yet to have any issues at 6 months. Guess we'll see what happens. I think you'll be fine with any of the ones you mentioned though. And you're gonna love the bars.
they look good sitting on the floor right now. Got to get cables ordered up for them. I got the malo V2. I'm not crazy bout the meathooks. Hope the welds hold up. I got it all tore apart putting together a beefy 110.
wife got me 14" Chrome 1 1/2 Malo bars from Buky for Xmas. These are going on a 04 Road Glide. Going from Heritage type bars that are approx 8 to 14 means i will be replacing all the cables (throttle/return) clutch, and brake lines, not to mention extending the wires for the electrical.
My question is what are your experiences with replacement cables. I knowI am going to have to go approx 8" over stock. My question is what brand or supplier.
I have checked out, Drag, J&P, and Magnum. Magnum seems to have the better selection, Drag seems to have the better price. J&P, only list Barnett, and i have zero experience with them.
Looking for dependability, Figured i could go either way (black stock type or braided) just looking for feedback based on real world usage.
thanks
I ended up going Barnett on the cables and Goodrich on the the brake lines. +6. Also picked up Namz +8 wire extensions. Got everything from J&P during their hangover sale. for less than $350 delivered.
